The Omega 8005 auger juicer is such a great juicer for vegetable juicing. This thing can juice just about anything. You can make endless fruit and vegetable juicing recipes, in addition to other things like wheatgrass juicing recipes, coffee grinding, peanut butter, pasta.

Weighing in at 13 pounds, you can feel how powerful the Omega 8005 juicer is as soon you take it out of the box. It’s like carrying a car engine. It comes with an attractive chrome (or white) finish, along with a hidden handle on it so you don’t have to awkwardly pick it up. The other parts that need to be attached separately are made of high quality plastics and very sturdy metal parts. It comes with a rod to force produce in the feed, and a brush that makes cleaning it very easy. Finally, if you aren’t interested only in vegetable juicing recipes, there are accessories to make nut butters and other homogenized foods.

So, why is this the best juicer for your vegetable juicing recipes? Because the sheer power of it will squeeze almost every drop of juice out of your vegetables. The firm and fibrous foods like carrots and celery stalks easily are easily crushed. Even the leafy greens like lettuce, spinach, and cabbage are no match. After you are done vegetable juicing, you will find in a separate container all the pulp as if were left to dry out in the sun.

There are other vegetable juicing juicers, such as centrifugal juicers. While they may be more affordable, you won’t get as much bang for your buck with them. Centrifugal juicers rely on a less efficient method to vegetable juicing. They cut up your produce finely, and then spin a strainer basket at thousands of times per minute, so the “centrifugal force” will extract the juice. Well this works ok, but you will find the pulp to be wetter with juice. Sometimes, you’ll even have to run the pulp again. And it’s important to mention that this fast moving machinery will create a LOT of noise.

We also cannot forget that centrifugal juicers will decrease the nutritional value of your vegetable juicing recipes. That is because the fast speed of the juicer will create more friction and heat, which will cause some of the nutrients to be diminished. Also, the more violent juicing method will promote oxidation, which is the real problem when it comes to preserving the most nutrients in your vegetable juicing recipes.

If you are really serious about a vegetable juicing diet, then you will need an auger juicer like the Omega 8005 juicer to make the best vegetable juicing recipes possible. Get the best value for your dollar with the Omega 8005 Masticating Juicer

Ok, so let’s get started with our vegetable juicing recipes. But wait… you don’t even have a vegetable juicer yet! You’ve been shopping around and been looking at different types of juicers in all shapes and sizes. If you want to start vegetable juicing, I highly suggest getting an auger juicer. Do NOT get a centrifugal juicer for your vegetable juice recipes.

The way a centrifugal juicer works is it shreds food and then spins a strainer basket extremely fast to separate the juice from the pulp. Think of the spin cycle in a washing machine. After the clothes wash, the drum spins really fast. The centrifugal force pushes the clothes along the walls of the drum, and water is will drain through holes on the sides. The exact same thing happens inside a centrifugal juicer.

First of all, this method of juicing is not the best for vegetables, most notably the leafy greens that have little juice that is hard to extract from the pulp. It is simply not that efficient. You will find that the pulp that comes out is still wet and needs to be run through the juicer again. And the high speeds a centrifugal juicer spins at will generate heat, potentially killing some of the enzymes in your juicing recipes. Why do more work to put fewer nutrients into your vegetable juicing recipes?

Even worse is the problem of oxidation (Ever see an apple slice turn brown? That’s oxidation). After vegetable juicing, the enzymes are now exposed to the oxygen in the air, and will die if not consumed soon. Centrifugal juicers will create a lot more foam, trapping air in your vegetable juice and speeding up the oxidation process.

For serious vegetable juicing, an auger juicer is the best option available. It crushes food and presses most of the juice out. It does so in a less violent way, preserving many more nutrients while extracting more juice. It will even juice those pesky leafy greens, like parsley and cabbage, AND wheatgrass, so you don’t have to worry about not getting a dedicated “wheatgrass juicer.” It’s all part of the package!

An auger juicer is the only way to go in making the best vegetable juicing recipes. It is more expensive -be ready to drop about $260 for a great auger juicer. Unless price is a major factor, then do NOT get a centrifugal juicer. Go grab an auger juicer and let’s start vegetable juicing!

Celery is one of my favorite snacking vegetables. What I like to do is the “peanut butter boat,” which is filling the entire trough of the celery stalk with peanut butter and then eating it. It’s even better if you make your own peanut butter with your juicer (that’s if you have an auger juicer – you have an auger juicer, right?!) It’s actually quite simple too. I’ll bring this topic up again at a later time.

Anyway, celery makes a great component to your vegetable juicing recipes and has loads of health benefits. Celery contains a collection of essential amino acids, vitamin K, vitamin C, manganese, potassium and vitamin B’s. Celery juice has the potential to treat asthma and bronchitis. Studies have also shown that celery juice can lower blood pressure and reduce the risk of stomach and colon cancers. It has the ability to calm the body’s nerves and curb appetites as well. Quite potent, wouldn’t you say?

Celery juice has great soothing powers in your juicer recipes. It can calm the body’s nerves, curb appetites and lower blood pressure, making it great on a hot day, after exercising, or before you go to sleep. In fact, celery is great for vegetable juicing recipes for weight loss.

Ironically, even though I love celery, I am allergic to it. When I eat it, my tongue goes numb after a while and I can’t taste foods. It wasn’t always like that though. I’m not sure if I developed an allergy to it or if the celery I’ve been eating is laced with pesticides (anyone else have this problem?). Either way, it sure won’t detract me from adding celery to my vegetable juicing recipes.

Celery haters may say that it has too much salt in it. Even though it has a salty taste, the sodium found in it is not the same as ordinary table salt, so there is no need to worry. Don’t be afraid to add celery to your juicing recipes to give them a pleasantly salty taste. And be sure to juice the leaves as well!

Try out these celery juicing recipes:

Cucumber Celery Ginger Juice

4 celery stalks

2 apples

1/2 lemon

Celery Carrot Juice

This juicing recipe focuses more on celery juice with a hint of carrots. You can easily switch the amounts to make a carrot juice with a subtle celery taste.

Hopefully, you have your shiny new auger juicer with a list of vegetable juicing recipes in hand. Before you start buying all the vegetables that you can fit into your shopping cart, you should learn some basics that will help you ease into a vegetable juicing diet.

You must incorporate vegetable juice into your diet slowly. Vegetable juicing allows you to absorb more nutrients because the juice is already extracted from the cells for your intestines to take them in. However, not all vegetables are easy to digest, especially the dark green leafy vegetable juice that is very dense. It is better to focus on vegetables that are easy to consume first – this includes carrots, celery, cucumbers, beets and zucchini.

Use vegetable juicing recipes that are based on a variation of these. After a while, when you have no problems with digestion, slowly work in some leafy greens like spinach, broccoli and lettuce to your juicing recipes. Eventually, you should be able to take on almost all vegetables.

As for juicing wheatgrass, I will discuss this at a later time. For now, I will say it is very concentrated and should be the last thing you attempt to juice. Wheatgrass juice is supposed to be drunk in little amounts, and it is usually drank as a shot.

Also, don’t stick with one or two vegetable juice recipes that you like. MIX IT UP! Try juicing recipes that include vegetables you may not like. Reduce the amount called for if you want and use other vegetables to mask the taste. That way, you won’t get too accustomed to a specific diet. Otherwise, your body will have a hard time adjusting to changes of eating habits. You also ensure that you are getting a wide variety of vitamins and enzymes. I’d recommend using your favorite vegetable juicing recipes every 2 or 3 days, and the other days to change it up.

Many people find it hard to deal with the taste of vegetable juice because it is too bitter and too dense. If it’s too bitter, sweeten it! Consider carrots and beets, as they are sweet. Alternatively, you can use fruits like apples or grapes to give it a pleasantly sweet taste. If it’s too dense, try diluting it with water.

It may take some time to fully integrate vegetable juicing into your diet, but it is definitely worth it in the end! Now let’s get started with our vegetable juicing recipes!
